We are proud to have brought our expertise in electrical systems simulation to the HYPROP – Hybrid-Electric Propulsion project, in partnership with Innovative Vehicle Institute (IVI) and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
HYPROP is paving the way for the aircraft of tomorrow by simulating and testing a reduced scale hybrid-electric system demonstrator — a crucial step toward enabling complex future hybrid-electric aircraft propulsion systems.
To reach that goal, we had to model, simulate, and validate the complex electrical systems at the heart of this technology.
We supported the development and calibration of real-time models to facilitate Hardware-in-the-Loop testing and contributed to the scaled-up model to simulate the behavior of the full-scale propulsion system.
Partner Contributions
- Innovative Vehicle Institute (IVI) – design and delivery of electric vehicle prototypes, leveraging their experience in electrification.
- Pratt & Whitney Canada– world-class expertise in aeronautical propulsion systems.
Together, this strong consortium combines complementary strengths to maximize the project’s success.
